Laterland turns the screenshots and links you saved “for someday” into things you actually do. It reads your screenshots on your iPhone, sorts them by purpose, suggests one idea a day, helps you plan it, and grows a cozy island every time you do something.

Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Laterland is designed for iPhone; it is not available for iPad or Mac.

No. Laterland is a one-time purchase on the App Store. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads. Every feature is included, and future updates are free.

During onboarding you can choose Look around with sample ideas to explore a grown island before importing your own screenshots. Samples are clearly marked and never count toward milestones or your year. Remove them anytime in Settings → Remove samples; your own saves stay.

English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português (Brasil), 日本語 and 한국어. Laterland follows your iPhone's language. To change it just for Laterland, go to Settings → Language.

1. Open the Today tab and tap the + button.
2. Choose screenshots from Photos. You can select hundreds at once.
3. Laterland reads them on your iPhone and sorts them. Items it is confident about are ready to save; anything uncertain waits in To check.

Yes. In Safari or any app, tap the Share button and choose Laterland. If you don't see it, scroll the app row to the end, tap More and turn Laterland on.

No. Laterland uses Apple's photo picker, so it only receives the screenshots and photos you select. It never browses your library on its own.

When Laterland isn't sure what a screenshot is about, it asks you instead of guessing. One tap answers “What did you save this for?”, and you can edit the title at the same time.

Open the save and edit it; your changes always win. Recognition works best on sharp screenshots where the text is not covered. Very small text, handwriting, or heavy image overlays can be harder to read.

No. Recognition runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks. Laterland has no servers. See the privacy policy for details.

Laterland spots likely duplicates and shows them to you. It never deletes anything without asking.

The Today tab pulls one idea from your own saves. Not in the mood? Swipe for another. You can filter Today by purpose, for example only food or only places.

Open a save and tap Plan it. Pick today, tomorrow, this weekend or any date, optionally add a time and a reminder, or tap Add to Calendar.

1. In Laterland, open Settings → Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed.
2. In the iPhone Settings app, check Notifications → Laterland.
3. Check that a Focus mode isn't silencing Laterland.

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone, so they work without an internet connection.

Tap Mark as done on a save, then I did it. Adding a photo or a note is optional. No proof is needed; Laterland takes your word for it.

Open the Saves tab. Search by text, or tap the filter button to filter by purpose, by the app it came from (Maps, Web, Screenshots…) and by date.

Every time you mark something as done, a building in the matching district rises a step. Seven districts (Harbor, Hearth, Library, Workshop, Grove, Theater and Market) grow from small beginnings into landmarks. Deciding about your saves (keeping, planning or letting go) clears the fog.

Nothing is lost. There are no streaks, timers or penalties. Your island waits for you exactly as you left it.

The island follows your clock, so at night the lights come on. You can change this in Settings → Island time (for example Always day).

When you complete something you can add a photo and a note. It becomes a memory card in the Memories tab, arranged on a timeline and in collections.

Yes. Open Memories → My Year in Laterland and tap Share your year. You choose where it goes; Laterland doesn't upload it anywhere.

Only on your iPhone, inside Laterland's private storage. Laterland has no account and no cloud of its own.

1. Open Settings and tap Back up now.
2. Choose Save to Files and pick a place, such as iCloud Drive.

The backup is a single file containing your saves, screenshots, memories, photos, progress and settings. Laterland checks every backup for integrity. Backups are not encrypted by Laterland, so keep the file somewhere private.

1. On the old iPhone, make a backup and save it to iCloud Drive.
2. Install Laterland on the new iPhone with the same Apple ID.
3. Open Settings → Restore from a backup… and choose the file.

If you restore your whole iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, Laterland's data usually comes along too.

Go to Settings → Erase all data. This permanently removes every save, screenshot, memory, photo and all island progress from this iPhone. Deleting the app also deletes its data. Because we never had a copy, there is nothing left on our side.

No. Open the App Store with the same Apple ID and download Laterland again from your purchases at no cost.

Refunds are decided by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose Laterland.
